Mycoplasma DNA (qPCR) detection kit

Mycoplasma is a type of microorganism that has no cell wall, is highly polymorphic, can pass through filters, and can be cultured and propagated in artificial media. It is the smallest prokaryotic cell type microorganism, with a size of 0.1-0.3 micrometers. Due to its ability to form filamentous and branching shapes, it is called mycoplasma. Mycoplasma, as a common source of contamination in laboratories, is estimated to contaminate approximately 15% -35% of cells. Mycoplasma contamination can alter the expression of DNA, RNA, and proteins within cells, alter the structure and function of host cells, affect cellular metabolism and growth, and have adverse effects on interfering with viral replication.

The Mycoplasma DNA (qPCR) detection kit independently developed by BioDomi GmbH has strong specificity and high sensitivity. It can be used for qualitative detection of Mycoplasma contamination in main cell banks, working cell banks, virus seed batches, control cells, and clinical treatment cells. It can be used in conjunction with BioDomi GmbH's "Host Cell Residual DNA (Magnetic Bead Method) Sample Pre processing Kit" and fully automatic nucleic acid extraction instrument. The advantage of this reagent kit is that it can cover more than 150 types of mycoplasma detection, with good detection limit, precision, durability, and strong specificity.
